Five years ago, two Bangalore boys decided to take a leap of faith and follow their passion. Seems like just yesterday, when we played our first show in a coffee shop.
Cut to five years later, that duo has become a multi-cultural, extended musical family, where a lot of hard work and sacrifice, has led to us playing at some of the biggest weddings of the seasons, and performing for some of the biggest corporate events, in the country and abroad.
Bryden-Parth is the coming together of two Bangalore-based musicians from Western and Indian Classical backgrounds, creating an exciting cross-genre musical experience.
Essentially, the duo is Bryden's many years of experience in the western music scene, heavily influenced by gospel harmonies, along with Parth's keen understanding of the Indian Classical music scene, presented in a contemporary way.
Having worked together extensively with The Raghu Dixit Project, they have collaborated and performed at some of the major music festivals across the world.
They made their debut into Bollywood as Assistant Composers under the Yash Raj Films banner in the year 2014, and have since been the favourites amongst music composers in the film industry.
Between the two of them, they have over a 1000 live concerts to their credit. But that doesn't say anything about the matchless chemistry they share on stage.
Over the last couple of years, they have taken YouTube by storm with their unique renditions of popular songs, garnering over 240,000 subscribers along the way.
Together, they are a representation of contemporary Indian music at its best.
Based out of Bangalore, Bryden and Parth spend their time between live performances and studio work, and are currently working on their debut album scheduled to release soon.
Considered one of India’s most versatile guitarists, Bryden began his professional tryst with music close to a decade ago in college, and his career has been growing at a stupendous pace ever since.
His unique style allows him to attain cross-genre mastery with fluid ease, and this can be seen in the sheer variety of collaborations he has been a part of.
Bryden’s signature style first gained prominence through his work with Bangalore based progressive rock icons, Slain. His work with the band established Bryden in the rock music scene, and also cemented his style. Over the years, he has done a variety of live shows across the world, along with extensive studio work. He is also the founder of The Choral Riff, the Bangalore based ensemble choir, for whom he handles vocal arrangements.
His distinctive style has also won him accolades and recognition in the Indian music scene. Most notable of these, was when he was voted as the 'Best Metal Guitarist’ at the Rolling Stone Metal Awards in 2010 and 'Guitarist of the Year’ at the Jack Daniels Annual Rock Awards 2010.
Along with Guitar, Bryden also plays the Banjo, Ukulele, Bouzouki and other stringed instruments, which help form the core of Bryden-Parth's sound.
Parth has been playing the Flute for as long as he can remember. From being tutored by the legendary Pravin Godkhindi to being one of the winners on MTV’s band hunt, “Rock On”, Parth has easily become one of the most recognised flute players in the country.
Parth developed and nurtured his now-signature style in the classical music scene in Bangalore, before appearing on the MTV reality show. His flawless playing caught the attention of musicians across the scene, and this is where his association with various music projects in the industry began.
Along with them, Parth has performed and toured around the world, playing to sold out shows and international music festivals.
Parth also plays the Saxophone, Melodica, Keyboard, and other wind instruments which, along with his fresh perspective and rock-solid foundation in classical music, complete the sound of Bryden-Parth.
